Many have highlighted his human rights track record and his campaign for peace, which led him to being a recipient of a Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 . They also provide examples of foreign policy successes such as a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt which has been respected by both parties ever since, though recent years has seen diplomacy tested .
